Concrete Garden Benches

Pete has been busy this summer making these beautiful concrete benches. Some have been purchased by local landscapers. The one below is in Pete and Dianne's back yard, and has been customized to include their names on the front.

Pete creates a mold for the bench tops using pressboard, and uses a router to create the words that go on top. After the mold has been created, he pours the concrete into the mold and allows it to cure. The bench legs are also hand-cast in concrete.

Customized benches, like the one shown at the top, require a special mold, which almost doubles the cost when they are sold to landscapers. Since the benches are so heavy, they are sold only in the local Bellingham area.
